About the Chardham Yatra Package by Train:

  • The Char Dham Yatra takes you to four sacred destinations in the Himalayas—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Completing this pilgrimage is believed to bestow moksha and immerse devotees in deep spiritual tranquility. These sacred sites, located in different parts of Uttarakhand, are renowned for their serene and divine atmospheres.
  • The train-based Char Dham Yatra package begins at Haridwar Railway Station, from where you will be transferred to Barkot. On the first day, enjoy a scenic drive through Mussoorie’s hills and valleys en route.
  • On the second day, embark on a 6 km trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri Dham, the source of the Yamuna River. Witness the river’s swift flow, spend time along its tranquil banks, and experience serenity before descending back to Janki Chatti in the evening.
  • Day three takes you to Uttarkashi, a holy town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Visit sacred temples such as Bhairon Temple, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Annapurna Temple, receiving the blessings of Lord Shiva and Goddess Annapurna.
  • On day four, travel to Gangotri, the origin of the River Ganga, situated at an elevation of 3,100 meters. Participate in prayers, poojas, and receive holy prasad at this revered pilgrimage site.
  • On day five, proceed to Guptkashi, marveling at the sacred confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers at Devprayag. Upon arrival, attend a peaceful prayer at Ardhnarishwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva’s half-male, half-female form.
  • Day six takes you to Gaurikund, known for its natural hot water springs and its mythological significance as the place where Lord Shiva expressed his love for Goddess Parvati. From here, continue to Kedarnath, the most remote Char Dham location. Visit the Kedarnath Temple, set amid towering Himalayan peaks, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Gauri.
  • On day seven, retrace your steps from Kedarnath to Gaurikund, and then drive back to Guptkashi for an overnight stay.
  • Day eight brings you to Badrinath, where you can check in to your hotel and explore the town blessed by Lord Vishnu. Admire the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, a site of immense spiritual significance.
  • Day nine is dedicated to Badrinath Temple Darshan, attracting pilgrims from across the globe to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. The temple radiates a magical and pure aura.
  • On the tenth and final day, descend back to Haridwar, witnessing the divine Ganga Aarti at its ghats or taking a holy dip in the river. This marks the conclusion of your Char Dham pilgrimage, carrying back countless blessings and spiritual memories.
